This place is all about the river, relaxation, and fun. No matter the season or the weather, from inside or outside, seeing the river is of prime importance to this family and was the basis for the design program.
The house gives a cursory nod to the private gravel lane out front while fully engaging the beautiful river that flows by the rear of the property. The modern design has interesting rooflines and incorporates stucco, wide lap siding, and narrow cedar siding in an eye-pleasing combination. Banks of windows and doors along the rear wall bring in abundant daylight and blur the distinction between outside and in. The open kitchen, dining and living areas create a perfect space for family and friends to gather and enjoy. The primary bedroom as well, has a stunning view of the river and access to outdoor living. At 2432 square feet of living space, the house is not too big, but the well-designed spaces and connection to the outdoors makes it “live” large.
